Good Purpose is a Christian Humanitarian Organization that seeks to transform the lives of the less fortunate children in Ghana by pairing them with sponsors. Our approach to fighting poverty is highly focused and personal. We show every child that they matter, linking them with one sponsor whose support gives them hope and a future.

Care Driven

Money can make a world of difference to children in need, but care helps them attain their purpose. We not only help provide for the educational, physical and financial needs of deprived children; we also believe in helping them see that they matter, and that their dreams do too.

Community Focused

Impoverished and underdeveloped communities are more likely to be the places that underprivileged children call home, due to the repeated and often generational nature of poverty and its far-reaching effects. Knowing this, our efforts are largely in such areas, with the hope of reaching as many children, in as many such homes as possible.

Child Centered

Breaking family and community-based cycles of poverty, illiteracy and disadvantage starts with children. That’s why we focus on them. We aim to educate, feed, clothe and care for children in need so that they can do better for themselves, and their families / communities.

Empower a child like Mercy

Meet Mercy, a two-year-old girl who lives in a kiosk with her mother in an impoverished community. She was abandoned by her father at an early age, making her mother the only breadwinner in the family.

Unfortunately, her mother’s only source of income comes from sewing clothes. The financial hardship faced by the family made it difficult to provide Mercy with food, shelter, education, and healthcare.

Mercy was discovered by our team during a field visit. She was immediately registered and connected to a sponsor. Thanks to the monthly stipend received from her sponsor, Mercy is now enrolled in school and with the provision of three healthy meals daily, she no longer suffers from malnutrition and hunger. The intense love and support she receives from her sponsor has given her hope to rise above her circumstances.

Build a relationship with a child like Majid

The sponsorship that 4-year-old Majid receives has been a blessing to him as well as his four siblings, who also enjoy the constant healthy meals that the help of their brother’s sponsor provides. Majid now goes to school without his parents having to worry about how to pay his fees, and he gets everything he needs for his education each term. He and his family may live in an uncompleted building for now, but things are coming together for him through the generosity of others.

Majid’s unemployed mother and sick father are deeply grateful for the sponsorship that makes everyday life a little more comfortable for Majid, and the rest of their family.

Poverty is an enemy with an arsenal of weapons; child labour, hunger, infant mortality, illiteracy, and many others. Poverty robs children of the right to grow up strong and healthy. It is an injustice that children are faced with endless obstacles due to poverty.

But together, we can change this. Your sponsorship provides deprived children with food, shelter, education, and access to healthcare.
