A Message from our Founder
The Good Purpose Project, a non-profit organization established in 2021, is made up of a dedicated team whose desire and sole commitment is to help underprivileged children and their families. As the founder, I have always been led to help out with occasional donations, as well as participate in various outreach programs, I however felt the need to do so much more. This calling connected me to others with the same passion, hence the Good Purpose Project team was formed.
Since our inception, the Good Purpose Project has sponsored children in the areas of daily nutrition, tuition, afterschool tutoring, school supplies (ie: uniforms, backpacks, books, etc.), and healthcare. Although the parents / guardians of many of these beneficiaries are employed, their income is well below minimum wage, rendering them unable to provide for their families daily. Coupled with this unfortunate situation is the lack of the provision of basic infrastructure and amenities (ie: electricity, clean water, healthcare) within the communities they reside, hence making matters worse.
The Good Purpose Project team is proud to announce that we have been able to partner with sponsors and have linked each of them to less fortunate children in over 45 deprived communities within Greater Accra. As part of our initiative, we conduct routine visits to the homes of the beneficiaries, as well as to their respective schools, to assess their wellbeing and academic performance, thus ensuring compliance and conformity for the intended funds.
What’s New?
Our new website has so many great features; There’s information for both current and prospective sponsors. The Good Purpose Project website highlights its flagship feature, which allows each sponsor to monitor the progress of their beneficiary, view their report cards, recent pictures, track receipts, and access progress reports created by our field workers. Prospective sponsors are also privy to a whirlwind of information, including profiles of children in need of sponsorship.
What’s Next?
In the coming months, the Good Purpose Project is taking their efforts up a notch. Plans are in place to embark on assisting the parents/guardians of beneficiaries in finding job placements. Better yet, the Project is seeking to raise funds to propel these families to participate in various skill development, enabling them to engage in some sort of trade.
Efforts are also in place for the second half of 2023 to broaden our reach outside of the Greater Accra area, as we have identified a significant need in those places as well. At the Good Purpose Project, we continue to make it our mission to partner with sponsors who can make a positive impact in the lives of less fortunate children in Ghana.
These are indeed exciting times! We live for this Purpose!
God has been amazing and we are excited about the journey ahead. We are ever so grateful for your support…..THANK YOU!
Stay blessed, stay giving!
Yours in Purpose,
