Millicent Waja lives with her family in a wooden structure in Kokomba Market. Millicent’s family experienced financial hardship, following her father’s involvement in an accident.

The family’s primary source of income—her father’s retail yam business—collapsed when the money was used to cover his medical expenses in order to save his life.

Millicent’s mother then became the only provider of the family. However, her mother’s income is not sufficient to cover Millicent’s as well as her siblings’ basic needs, including food, education, and healthcare.

Millicent is in desperate need of sponsorship  to continue her education.
